catching up

Firstly guys, a very happy new year to all of you. May all of you have a great 2009 and may all your wishes come through!!!

I finally have time to update my blog because tomorrow is a public holiday, which means there will be no work. What a relief for me. I got a new job as a mechandiser at Lam soon. My job is to arrange the goods in the sheng siong outlets in the central area. I met all kinds of people, mostly hideous characters that make this world a living hell. I went to work like a zombie and before I regained my 'senses' and 'felt' like a human again work had ended. This was how boring work was for me. To add on to my misery they miscalculated my pay and did not provide any transport fee for me( transportation fee in central could go as high as $5 a day).

Anyway next week will be my last week at work and it will be adious. Now back to my long awaited comics update. Last time I gave you all a brief introduction into marvel's special event, secret invasion. After 8 issues, the invasion has finally ended with a twisted ending and with more trouble brewing in the marvel world. In marvel, super heroes have a secret network whereby they work together to fight villains. This is similar to DC's Justice league. In marvel this group is known as Avengers. There is also another group of secret network in marvel which is set up to deal with all the atrocities around the world and is well connected to the Avengers, it is known as Shield. Both groups all headed by our well known metal head whom also made his debute movie this year, IRONMAN, Anthony Stark. During the invasion, Shield was looked upon as the guardian of this world to guard against the skrulls. They were suppose to make sure that the skrulls could not even lay a scratch on earth. However the skrulls themselves were no easy enemies too. They shade-shifted into tony stark's well trusted butler Jarvis. This Jarvis then injected a deadly virus into the whole of shield, stark enterprise and Avengers tower. This left Stark helpless as his suit is connected to all stark enerprise technology. Therefore, shield was forcibly shut down and the avengers split up. Also, Earth lost one of its strong pillars, Iron man!!! Thus the skrulls invasion almost succeeded but did not pull through as for once both heroes and villains in marvel decided to set aside their differences to deter the skrulls' tyranny. However after the incident, shield was blamed for the plight earth had to go through and Tony Stark, regarded by many to be solely responisble for shield's failure. Shield was disbanded and hammer was formed and the one handling the reins is spiderman's arch enemy, Norman Osbourne.

Nowadays I am really damn busy and have no time to update. However, there is always time for an interesting thing or two. Tan tells me he likes my phrases so here goes............

sorry for not updating my blog for the past few days. Have been very busy at work and could not find the time to do some updating on my secret invasion story. You guys really have to wait patiently for my next update man.

Lastly I am damn excited cause warmachine issue 1 is coming up next week!!!!

Firstly, a very great thanks to all who have been coming to my blog and tagging it. It is finally looking like a blog and I am sure in time to come, it will definitely achieve what i set it out for.

Back to my comics introduction. During my last post, I have given a brief over view of the world of comics. Now, we will go deeper in depth into how these comics present themselves. Every year, both DC and marvel wolud come up with their special summer events. These comics published are limited editions and would ultimately change the story of many heroes in years to come. They are definitely worth collecting and to those who want to make a fortune out of comics as a collector, these comics definitely cannot be missed by you guys. In 2008, marvel came out with its special event known as secret invasion while DC came up with what is known as Final Crisis. In secret invasion, shape-shifting aliens known as skrulls desire to take over earth. However their invasion will not be like taking candy from a baby as our marvel heroes will form earth's finest line of defense. Skrulls have the ability of shape-shifting into other people including our heroes and at the same time having their extraodinary abilities. To add on to this maddness, there is no telling who is who as neither powers nor science can differentiate the skrulls from our heroes. This too puts our heroes in another disadvantage as they cannot differentiate allies from enemies. With trust gone amount them, our greatest line of defense will be weakened by tenfolds. This is definitely a must watch as we buckle up and brace ourselves for the greatest change that is going to take place in the world of marvel!!!!

Greetingsto all who have been following up with my blog.This new bornt is still unknown to many but I am sure in time to come, many more will follow up with this blog. Before this post I already wrote a post ready to be posted, but my stupid hand just had to go cross the web page out. I almost flip the whole laptop out of my desk. Well enough of grumbling already, time to update you guys what has been going on with my life.

Jobs have started pouring in after Os and I soon got my first job in Goodwood park hotel. Work there was tough and took much out of me. However I soon somehow naturally managedto bring out the energy that was needed to get the job done. Life got better when hannah and Chingjun joined me. Like new bornts, they had no idea what was installed for them. On the second day of work, they had already threw in the towel and wanted to cast out banqueting nd goodwood park out of their lives. It wasunderstandable as life there was indeed demanding and stressful. Their leave seemed to have affected me as well and I too decided to draw a conclusion to goodwood park hotel. During our self-proclaimed last day of work, we went to Bugis to treat ourselves to some good food and to eat to our heart's content. By the way hannah, 6 ju gui do notcome under that citeria. Lastly a great thanks to my primary school brother jason for accompanying meto the first day of work there.

Then, under shi jie's recommendation, I went to fajar secondary to sell books. Again, with the accompany of friends( mr personality,ying wee, eugene, gregory and shijie), work became much more enjoyable.

Had a 2/2 camping on monday and it was quite fun. However it really deprived us of sleep and we looked like zombies that have been just released when we went home. We did much catching up andtalked through out the night. Many thanks to the nine people who camped with me as without you all the camp would not have hold any meaning at all.Special thanks to my man valerie for organising it and providing the tent.

Alright now to the main course, the comics review for this week.To those who are not familar with english comics let me do a short introduction. English comics from America have been long going, some touching a hundred years! The two most famous comics company are marvel and DC. Personally I prefer marvel to DC as it is much more branched out and connected. To those who do not follow up with the comics I am sure marvel is much more familar to u all due to the many marvel super hero movies shown(e.g. ironman,spiderman,X-men, fantastic four). DC on the other hand only has a few well recognised heroes such as the well-known superman and batman.

Being a someone with average purchasing power, I can only afford to follow up with a few of the titles some of them are invisible ironman, new up and coming warmachine,hulk, wolverine first-class,captain britain mi13). There is much totell and I definitely cannot finish everything in 1 post. Stay tune to more of it in my next post. Thanks to all dudes reading my blog.

start of a new saga

Man, it took me 3 years to finally start my own blog. Never once have I thought what my blog will mainly feature thus, i have never set my mind into really setting one up. However nowadays, life has been free for me with loads of spare time to contemplate about many things. As a result I managed to come up with a centre of focus for my blog. This blog will mainly feature my loves: comics, basketball, music, piano, technology. I hope that whoever who reads my blog will gain some interest in these things and hopefully be as fascinated with these things as me. However the ultimate result that I hope this blog can achieve is that it will be able to bring people out of their hectic lives for a brief moment when read. It will be a safe haven for all where laughter and fun will br provided. Please do be inspired and visit my blog everyday.
Of course my blog will also include my everyday life and i guarantee you that it will be interesting and will give you one hell of a laugh. Ok, thats all for now man lastly, I hope this blog will be a success and will be long running!!!! All hail!!!
